Biography
Dale Birchler's university studies include interior design and residential design technology at Michigan State University. What these programs confirmed was Dale's true interest in craftsmanship and the arts, rather than business-oriented design programs. Her quest for an avocation led her to private instructions and a subsequent 13-year career as a weaver. Her love of the art of constructing visual objects from a variety of
materials, coupled with a continuing interest in wearable art, were the catalysts for a test foray into jewelry-making. This proved to be the media that would unleash Dale's most creative energies. Dale's jewelry designs have been displayed and sold in galleries and shows throughout Michigan, Pennsylvania, Illinois and North Carolina. Dale lives with her husband in Michigan.
